In Memory

Tom Wentworth

Tom Wentworth, beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and nephew who had a big heart and vibrant smile passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 3, 2020 at the age of 58. Tom, born to Duke and Dee Wentworth, both of whom preceded his death, grew up in Edina, MN with his sister, Cindy Wentworth Kraemer. Growing up, Tom pursued a passion for extreme sports including helicopter skiing, mogul competitions and hiking precarious trails. In addition to other activities such as swimming, hockey, and golf, he had a passion for reading, learning, and the pursuit of knowledge of any subject with a particular interest for hands-on learning. Being generous and curious, he was always looking for ways to help out his family and friends. No task was too daunting and his positivity always led to the conclusion that 'we'll figure it out'. Being an entrepreneur, early on in his life he founded a data processing company, Compendium, giving him the opportunity to mentor and influence many people. Tom and his wife, Brenda, of 25 years shared many adventures living, working, and traveling in many locations around the world. Together, they enjoyed hiking, biking and spending time exploring and traveling to new destinations searching for new experiences. Tom will be deeply missed by many and will always be loved. His family and friends will especially miss his fun spirit, quick wit, and challenges for anything competitive. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made in Tom's name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or American Heart Association.
